Our personal guide to good, quality restaurants with in the Larnaca region

If you'd like to add any restaurants reviews not listed below that you think are worthy of a mention, then please email us your review, along with a photograph of said restaurant for inclusion on this page.

'VOREAS'

is located in the village of Voroklini just off the road to Dhekelia approx 5km from the main centre of Larnaca town. The restaurant itself is located in a secluded back street which is opposite the Lithos Sports bar & has adequate seating for around 150 people, so is excellent for parties or specially occasions such as birthdays & weddings.

The ‘Voreas’ specialty is the Cypriot Meze which is very reasonably priced currently at €17.50 for 2, they do have a separate menu for those who choose not to have the meze & though not extensive, its good quality & covers all eating tastes be it fish, chicken or red meat. Having been to the ‘Voreas’ on several occasions, I can honestly say it’s one of the best restaurants I’ve eaten in, the service is always pleasant, quick & helpful. We’ve taken several friends to the ‘Voreas’ on different occasions & every one of them have come away very pleased with their evening.

Now don’t take our word for it, you should try it out yourselves, you won’t regret it!

'GRADA'

is also located in the village of Voroklini just off the road to Dhekelia approx 5km from the main centre of Larnaca town. This restaurant is located off the main road into Voroklini, just down from the main school.

The ‘Grada’ is a quaint typical Cypriot taverna, offering the usual Cypriot meze & other meals like Stifardo, Kleftico and Mixed Grill etc, all served freshly prepared on the premises, see attached menu.

Price are very similar to those of most typical Cypriot taverna’s & the food is of good quality too, well worth a try if you like to get out & about in Larnaca without it costing you a fortune.

'Mer Blue'

beach cafe & restaurant is located on Dhekelia road (beach side) just beside/behind the Princess Hotel opposite the Boronia Hotel Apartments, approx 1km after the turn off to Voroklini

The location of this beach cafe/restaurant is superb as it's right on the beach looking out over the Mediterranean sea, which at night time is absolutely stunning with the waves lapping on the shore as your enjoy your glass of vino & meal. The prices aren't as cheap as some restaurants but what you're paying for is the view, I'm not saying that the food isn't very good, in fact, I was quite surprised at the quality & service, which in off season was very impressive.

This beach cafe/restaurant is definitely a place to take your friends & family while they're over on holidays, as its the sort of place they'd talk about when they went back home as it captures the real essence of Cyprus life, chilling out, watching the sun go down while you have a good meal & a few drinks to wash it down with!

'TGI Fridays'

Located on Foinikoudes Promenade within easy walking distance of Larnaca town centre, prices are reasonable considering the location & it's catering for the tourist but the food is very good indeed

TGi Fridays does it's very own 'Jack Daniel's' bbq sauce which in my personal opinion is to die for, especially poured over their double bacon, cheese quarter pounder mmmmm!
Their menu is quite varied & you get a FREE refill on soft drinks like coke, orange etc which is great for the kids, we've been there a couple of times after a nice walk up & down the promenade & haven't yet had any complaints, though I have heard of some people saying they don't like it but everyone to their own is my philosophy.

TGI's is a place worth trying out, you maybe impressed or you may not, it's all dependant on your own personal taste but anything to do with meat is mine & I very much like their burgers.
